 No doubt, Flash is an exciting website media format and site navigation platform - but is it effective for a business website? We have an oppinion on this matter... We are big fans of Flash, but not for websites. Flash is slow-loading, often poorly developed, does not work for the one-million iPhone web users, is expensive to update, provides less visibility to search engine indexing and creates a barrier between the business owner and the ability to turn on a dime. We have provided Flash-based website pages in the past and one of our team-members even won an award from the Direct Marketing Association for an interactive marketing application. However, it is not the recommended format for entire websites or even business-ciritial applications such as lot maps.
